Legacy of the 3 Weapons

The Story So Far

The party headed to town after a succesful adventure in a forgotten monastary. It is there that they aquired the legendary weapons Durindana and the Scales of Ballance.

They went to the closest town, which also happened to be the capital of the entire nation. There they went to a tavern, and were later found by a messenger from the king himself. The king had ordered an audience with the group. They then followed the messenger back to the castle and listened to the king. The king told them of the legend of the 3 weapons, and explained that disaster would soon happen unless the 3rd weapon was also found. The party were then issued the kings offical seal and sent on their way. THey then bought almost every magical item in the capital, on the king’s tab. Afterwards they did some reaserch into the legend, the only other thing they were able to uncover was a cryptic verse: “the tower is reveiled when the eyes of the desert close.” The party hired a cleric and left for the desert.

When they reached the desert at first they saw nothing. Then they were able to make out buzzards flying around the corpse of a merchant who had died due to the harh desert climate. One of the party then saw something out of the corner of his eye, to the north. The party journied north for a little while without seeing anything. Soon one of the party saw what appeared to be a rock in the desert sands, but when they looked back the rock had vanished. Soon the group came under attack from Bullets. After a lengthy fight all the Land Sharks lay on the desert sands slain. Once all the Bullets were dead the sorcerer’s tower rose from the desert sands…

Our next session will be on the 18th of Feb. if my callendar is correct. I will be there on time, and I hope to be able to evivct anyone who is underage. This should allow for both a quicker flow to the game as well as more adult conversations. (I.E Tom’s charecter can actually have his name said out loud.)

Also, knowing how much you all love my critical hits and fumbles, I have aquired new tables that acctualy tell me exactly what you have done and what to call your crits. Everything from “Strike of the Gods” to “You Inept Moron.”

See you all there.

In The Tower Part 1

Today our party entered the wizard’s tower. They were immediately attacked by large lizard like creatures, however thay successfully defaeted the monsters and moved deeper into the tower. They were then trapped and almost drowned. They released the drain in the room and were saved. Afterwards half the party ascended to the second level, while others stayed behind to explore the newly discovered wizard’s library. They then rested.

In the Tower... Still

This is a short description of everything that has happend between the last post and the last gaming session.

The party went in seperate directions, traps were activated, monsters were fought, and no one died. Then they went up to the second floor. There they were attacked by a Bone Lord and his minons. A rogue died. 2 prisoners were found and they joined the party. Then up to the 3rd floor. They found spiders, so they lit the webs on fire burning many of them, they also harmed a pixie on accident, or at least I SUPPOSE it was an accident. Found the wizard’s old lab and accidentaly summoned a monster. That was defeated, and they went up to level 4. Found some rooms that were distinctly odd, ignored most of them, fought a few monsters. Went up to level 5. Found sleeping chambers, and lots of loot. A few notible items were a pair of humming swords, a leafy bow, a transforming rod, a axe with a mirror finish, and a gauntlet that did a whole bunch of things. They were also attacked by monsters and fell victim to a slime trap. 2 died. Then they found an altar and the shade of the dead wizard appeared and challanged them to single combat. 4 people have died thus far fighting the wizard’s shade. A bard collapsed a third of the tower with a sonic spell cause he is an ass. The rest of the party decided not to wait for single combat to kill each and everyone of them, so they rushed up the stairs. There they encounterd the Bone Lord again. He tried to waylay the adventurers but it didn’t work. The party is now all on top of the wizard’s tower ready to fight him… If they can find him that is.

I went through that very quckly so it is missing some detail. Hopefully nothing important. -GM
